Our classic 1970’s Kombi (Australian for VW Bus) has been beautifully restored and set-up as a mobile bar for hire in the Greater Houston Region. Whether you’re looking to celebrate a wedding, rehearsal parties, corporate event, or your next backyard bash, Kombi Keg Houston has you covered. We offer six taps that serve anything from local beer, cider, wine, specialty cocktails, mocktails and even cold brew coffee.
In addition to providing you the perfect photo backdrop and an amazing space to serve drinks, we can also provide lawn games to compliment the theme of your event and provide a special place for your guests to relax and have fun!

From small intimate settings such as a bucks or hens night, or large parties and corporate functions, we’ve got your event covered. Your guests are able to serve themselves a cold brew from our bar or alternatively we have our experienced staff to serve and chat with them about beers, wine, and more!

We love our local and greater Houston community, and would be honored to partner with you for your corporate event, festival, or function. An experienced staff member can be provided to serve your beverages of choice. The outdoor setting and chill vibe will be a great addition to your function’s activities!
A Little History
The history behind Kombi Keg and it’s beginnings.
On August 7, 2015, with a dream of creating a mobile bar out of a Volkswagen “Kombi” Van, founder and co-owner of Kombi Keg, Phil Hoken, purchased a 1976 VW Kombi van from Surf St. Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia.
This first purchase was the beginning of Kombi Keg.
In his spare time from running three other businesses and spending time with his wife and 6-month old daughter, Phil stripped and restored the Kombi van. There were many 2 am mornings in the shed with a few mates who helped with the process (and a lot of pizza consumed).
On November 21, 2015 the first party was held for a good mates birthday, Kombi Keg was launched, and the rest is history!
Phil decided to post a picture of the finished product on Facebook. To date, that picture has been shared over 35,000 times and in less than 12 months the ‘Kombi Keg’ Facebook page gained over 65,000 likes and videos receiving over 3.2 million views!
After this astonishing result, Phil began buying Kombi Vans from all over Australia, with the goal of restoring them for future franchisees. Kombi Keg now has over 50 franchises world-wide, and now comes to Houston, Texas!

Not only is the Kombi a cool pop-up bar, it also truly becomes the centerpiece of the party.
Our Kombi is a unique and versatile mobile bar with a 6-tap system ready to pour commercial quantities of beer, our hand-crafted cocktails made with fresh natural ingredients, and any other draft product you’d like served. We will fulfil all your beverage needs while hosting your favorite cocktails, mocktails, wine, beer, as well as soda and water. Two bar tops are offered: surfboard or rustic wood.
The back bar area is available to hand pour small batch cocktails, wine, champagne, hand out soda, waters, snacks, or whatever you choose.
Our team is here to help create the perfect bar menu; the Kombi can easily be transformed and flow into whatever theme your event is.
The options are endless with Kombi Keg; hire us for your brand activation, a backyard party or even a pop up cash bar at a festival.
Once the festivities are over, there is no clean up required, we pack up and drive on.
